ABOUT THE ROLE
As part of the SWOOC Games Team, your mission is to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, effective budget management, compliance with accounting standards, and support for strategic financial planning. This role involves leading the accounting team, optimizing financial processes, and contributing to the overall financial health and growth of the organization.

• Oversee all accounting operations including Payroll, Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
• Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
• Track projected costs and actual costs, determine underlying causes of differences, solve issues, and continuously improve • projections.
• Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
• Manage and report the P&L on a product level (40+ products).
• Support and oversee month-end and year-end close processes to meet deadlines.
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
• Manage financial aspects of eCommerce platforms, including payment gateways and sales tax compliance.
• Additional controller duties as necessary.

ABOUT YOU
The ideal candidate must have the following knowledge, skills, and work experience.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's or CPA preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in accounting or financial management roles.
• Proven experience in financial reporting and budgeting.
• Experience managing a team and leading accounting operations.
• Familiarity with compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Experience in the eCommerce industry and understanding of its financial dynamics (Amazon experience is a plus).
• Key Competencies: Organization & Planning, Strategic Thinking/Visioning, Business Acumen, Results-Oriented, Leadership & Management Skills, Detail-Oriented, High Standards, Honesty & Integrity
• Master level of QuickBooks Online
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel & Google Sheets, including Pivot Tables, Macros, and advanced formulas (e.g., VLOOKUP, SUMIFS)
• Proficiency in Google Workspace, MS Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with project management and collaboration tools such as Asana and Slack.
• Familiarity with eCommerce platforms and financial tools (e.g., Amazon, Shopify).
• Strong internet & Tech Savvy.

HOURS OF WORK PER WEEK
• 40 hours per week. Monday - Friday, 08:00am to 01:00pm EST.
• The remainder of the hours can be completed on a flexible schedule.

• Salary is $15-20/hour (DOE)
