Our approach relies on proprietary sourcing and industry analysis. We are looking for a meticulous and driven Analyst to join our team. This role is essential in supporting our mission to identify and engage with owners of potential acquisition targets. Job Description: As an Analyst, your primary responsibility will be to conduct industry research and to build detailed lists of private companies within specific niche industries. You will use various databases and online research tools as well as conference lists to identify these companies. Additionally, you will need to visit each company’s website to assess it's quality extract the following: 1. 1-3 word descriptions that describe the specific industry or space the company operates in (e.g., if it's a cybersecurity provider do they specialize in endpoint or SIEM, etc.) You must learn to understand and speak like a customer of the business . 2. 1-3 Bullet Points summarizing what is unique about the company or its products/services. Customized and personalized information we use in a critical way in our outreach. This information will be essential for our evaluation and outreach efforts. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct thorough online research to identify companies within specified niche sectors. - Create and maintain detailed lists of potential acquisition targets. Adding 100-1000 companies per week. - Analyze company websites and write 1-3 word descriptions of their space as well as 1-3 custom bullet points about them. -Conduct industry research by generating lists of experts and contacting them. - Work closely with the team to enhance research methodologies and sourcing efficiency. Requirements: - Strong research skills, particularly with online databases and search engines. -Close attention to detail and ability to produce lists of 100-1000 new companies per week. - Ability to analyze and summarize information from company websites. -Ability to write and summarize high level understandings of what companies do into short sentences. -High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. - Fluency in English, both written and verbal. - Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively. - Previous experience in a similar role or familiarity with search funds, private equity or cold email outreach is a plus.
