Overview: We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to support our e-commerce business in making data-driven decisions. The ideal candidate will assist with forecasting, discount comparison, and data analysis, ultimately driving actionable business insights. This role requires proficiency in tools like Looker and Excel (or Google Sheets) to create comprehensive reports and dashboards. Responsibilities: Forecasting: Develop and refine sales forecasts based on historical data, market trends, and seasonal variations. Discount Analysis: Compare the effectiveness of various discount strategies, analyzing the impact on sales, margins, and customer acquisition. Data Analysis: Extract, analyze, and interpret data from Looker and other sources to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Report Creation: Build and maintain spreadsheets and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable insights for the business. Insight Generation: Translate data into clear, actionable business recommendations, presenting findings to key stakeholders. Continuous Improvement: Continuously monitor and optimize forecasting models and discount strategies to improve accuracy and effectiveness. Requirements: Experience in E-commerce: Prior experience in an e-commerce environment, understanding the nuances of online retail. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and provide actionable insights. Proficiency in Looker: Experience using Looker to extract and analyze data. Spreadsheet Expertise: Advanced knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets, including the ability to create complex formulas, pivot tables, and visualizations. Communication Skills: Ability to present data and insights clearly and concisely to non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Forecasting Models: Familiarity with various forecasting techniques and tools used in e-commerce. Knowledge of Discounting Strategies: Understanding of pricing strategies and their impact on business performance.
