The Compensation Manager is responsible for the management and administration of the company’s compensation plans, programs and payroll-related activities. The position leads the preparation of staff cost budget, forecast and monitoring, hiring rates, salary increases, wage order, incentives, annual bonus, and all company monetary payouts. The position oversees the administration of the compensation system and implementation of system process improvements affecting compensation.
This role focuses on:
- Ensuring accurate and timely processing of all pre-payroll related activities such as validation of hiring rates of new hires and existing employees using master list from Core HR, iPay/manual payroll adjustments, salary adjustments, reimbursements, allowances, incentive payout, medical subsidy, 13th month pay, and annual bonus.
- Ensuring compliance to post-payroll schedule of activities such as preparation of SSS R1A and PHIC ER2.
- Reviewing and analyzing the staff cost budget, forecast and regular monitoring of actuals and variances in coordination with Finance.
- Ensuring accurate and timely implementation of new hiring rates, wage order, 13th month pay, and salary changes due to merit increase, salary upgrade, and promotion increase covering regular (Rank & File/Supervisor) and confidential payroll (Assistant Manager/Department Manager).
- Participating in the review, research and study of total rewards tangible elements.
- Recommending improvements and changes in the systems, processes and controls involving compensation.
- Coordinating with SM for payroll-related directives, issues and concerns.
- Digital savvy, proficient in MS Office applications for analysis.
