The Quality Assurance Specialist is tasked with proficiently executing detailed Quality Assurance and Development (QAD) activities related to monitoring the company's implementation of quality assurance programs and systems. They will oversee QA communications, documentation, and records, ensuring the integrity, security, and confidentiality of information.

  • Initiates, recommends, develops, documents, implements, audits, and analyzes quality assurance and management systems and programs, including SCPs/SSOPs, GMP/GWP/GLP, SOP, HACCP, and others.
  • Designs sensory procedures, conduct training, calibrate sensory panels, and interpret sensory evaluation results using statistical analyses.
  • Processes non-conformances, investigate store-related feedback, perform root cause analysis, document findings, and validate corrective actions; Identify and implement improvements to prevent recurrence.
  • Transacts and coordinates application and renewal of regulatory and legal licenses, permits, product certification, and other requirements related to food and packaging standards and safety.
  • Conducts translation runs, providing reports and recommendations for experimental to commercial production processes.
  • Manages and drafts standard material costs, overseeing Bill of Materials (BOM) in the Oracle R12 system for Work-in-Process and Finished Goods.
  • Coordinates with internal units and external counterparts for quality assurance programs, recommends facility and equipment upgrades, and develops SOPs with input from various stakeholders for approval.

JOB QUALIFICATION:

  • A graduate of Bachelor's Degree in Food Technology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineer, or any related fields.
  • Preferably a license Chemist, Chemical Technician, or Chemical Engineer.
  • With at least (2) years experience in Food Quality Assurance and/or Research and Development, Manufacturing, or related fields.
  • Must have basic knowledge in Food Technology, Food Engineering, Food Chemistry and Microbiology; GMP, GWP and GLP (Good Manufacturing/ Warehouse/ Laboratory Practices);
  • Preferably has experience in implementing Integrated Management Systems (IMS) such as HACCP, ISO Systems, and SPC (Statistical Process Control) program in a food plant environment.
  • Preferably with experience in bakery and meat processing operations.
  • Possess strong verbal and written communications skills with leadership potentials.
  • Must be willing to be assigned in Danao City, Cebu.
