Geologist

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Geologist at SBT Mining located in Dinagat Islands. The Geologist will be responsible for field work, logging, geological mapping, geophysics, and drilling.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Geologist and licensed holder
• Must be willing to work in Dinagat Islands.
• At least 1-3 years’ experience as mine geologist, or grade control is highly required.
• Strong technical skills - geology and mining.
• A high degree of computer literacy is required.
• Advance knowledge in geology and mining software is required.
• Effective and efficient in decision making.
• Flexible and professional approach to duties.
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and accomplish the task given before deadline.
• Facilitated with the completion of core logging and the improvement of core data systems.
• Prepares reports on geological activities of underground drilling operations.
• Formulates monthly reports, reconciliation data, and Technical report.
• Assist with budgets and forecasts relating to geological commitments.
• Facilitated geology forecasting and scheduling process.
• Generate/design drilling programs.
• Collation of survey, mapping, logging, and assay data to produce ore block mark out plans that optimize ore body recovery within mining limitations.
