General Accountant

The Role

• Handling payment requests and ensuring all necessary supporting documents are complete before processing and recording accounts payable transactions.
• Creating journal entries for accruals, adjustments, and other required recordings.
• Conducting monthly bank reconciliations and overseeing the month-end closing process.
• Compiling financial statements.
• Preparing management reports and analyses as needed.
• Preparing and filing VAT, income tax, and other required tax submissions, along with fulfilling other government and regulatory obligations.
• Issuing invoices, official receipts, and other accounting documents as necessary.
• Coordinating with external, BIR, and internal auditors during company audits.
• Maintaining an organized filing system for relevant documents.

The Individual

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy
• Certified Public Accountant
• Preferably with 1 to 2 years of experience in audit and/or taxes
• With strong analytical ability in understanding transactions and able to perform reconciliation of charges
• Proficient in the use of MS Office Applications (strong MS Excel skills preferred)
• With good communication skills
• Knowledge in JD Edwards and Ariba is an advantage
• Willing to be based in Ayala, Makati (7 am to 4pm)
