Company Description

The Trade Remedies Office/Unit under the Director for Policy Research Service(PRS) is the implementing arm of the Philippine Department of Agriculture with respect to the relevant provisions of the Safegards Act, Anti-Dumping Act and Countervaling Act to protect domestic industries engaged in the agriculture and fisheries sector (raw and peocessed) from unfair trade practices arising from import surge, dumping or price undercuting, undervaluation and subsidies by foreign suppliers.

Role Description

This is a contract role for a Supervising International Trade Remedies Specialist located in Quezon City. The supervising specialist directly reporting to the Chief of the office and/or the PRS Director will be responsible for overseeing international trade remedies processes, conducting investigations, analyzing trade data, preparing reports, and providing guidance on trade remedy measures.

Qualifications

  • Experience in international trade remedies processes, investigations, and data analysis
  • Knowledge of trade remedy measures and regulations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in reporting
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, International Relations, Law, or related field
