The Demand Planning Manager will be responsible for the over-all stock availability based on demand requirements. He / She will prepare accurate order plan and provide sales trend analysis to the management, sales and marketing department. Has solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedures. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, can work independently, keen attention to details, strong mathematical and analytical skills are vital for this role.

Supervision and Team Management:

  • Supervise and mentor a team of demand planners, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback.
  • Delegate tasks and projects effectively, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
  • Identify training needs and develop programs to enhance the team's demand planning skills and knowledge.

Forecasting and Demand Planning:

  • Creates and owns the baseline forecast on a per brand and SKU level.
  • Updates forecasts to incorporate new product introductions, product conversions, product deactivations, seasonal products, discounts & promotions into the plan.
  • Conducts historical sales analysis at a channel level and performs data cleansing to build statistical baseline forecast.
  • Monitors and reports important changes in demand forecasts, order plans, budgets, and business strategies or tactics.
  • Highlights potential risks and opportunities in the demand plan vs financial budget/estimates.
  • Submits accurate and timely information and analysis to assess the performance of the brand/category being handled as against the prevailing company goals and objectives.
  • Drives improvement of forecast assumptions, exception management and root cause analysis to identify forecast risks, deviations and issues and develop effective mitigation plans.
  • Consult with the Supply Chain Consultant in authoring the Demand Planning Business Process Manual and Policies.

Inventory Management:

  • Analyze and monitor stock inventory levels (SSR), stock ageing, wastage, inbound and outbound deliveries
  • Ensures attainability of required inventory stock levels by coordinating with Purchasing, Warehouse and Logistics.
  • Manages pull-in and rush delivery request for any critical stocks with confirmed demand with penalties.
  • Reviews and analyses the future demand trend vs. forecast.

Department Coordination:

  • Monitors and coordinates with the Purchasing Manager with regards to inbound stock shipments and delivery commitment schedules.
  • Assesses all purchase orders which should attain the maximum efficiency, cost effectiveness and quality aligned with the demand forecast.
  • Regularly monitors the accuracy of inventory of stocks on each warehouse and factors in demand forecasting and planning.
  • Regularly checks with Warehouse Managers if proper replenishment of products is correct (Packaging-first in, first out/ FIFO, FG-first expiry, first out/ FEFO).
  • Monitors and coordinates with the Logistics Manager with regards to outbound stock deliveries, pull out, backload, RTVs and their schedules.
  • Coordinates with the Logistics Manager on delivery concern and communicates with major accounts for resolution.

ERP Management:

  • Assists supplier to set-up ERP System based on company requirements
  • Coordinates with the Supply Chain Consultant in developing the Demand Planning module of the ERP System.
  • Reviews internal system to fit-in with ERP Programs.
  • Attends meetings with Customize ERP Developer.
