Drake's top and progressive client partner - an IT solutions company for government sectors, is currently hiring for a Head of Project Development (VP Level), who can be part of their expanding team in Quezon City!

This position contributes to the growth and profitability of the Company by achieving the goals/objectives established for the Project Development Department such as: business conceptualization, research and development, project management, marketing, and, client relations. The position is mainly responsible for planning, organizing, leading, and controlling the activities of the Division to ensure the effective conceptualization and development of projects.

Management Performance Areas

1. Planning

  • Estimates and predicts future conditions and events, and the needs and opportunities associated with the overall development of projects;
  • Establishes the objectives/goals to be accomplished by the Division for each of its key result areas;
  • Programs the sequence and priority of action steps to be followed by the Division in achieving said objectives/goal;
  • Develops, enhances, reviews and implements approved Project Development policies, guidelines and procedures;
  • Facilitates planning meeting with project stakeholders and internal counterparts;
  • Prepares revenue forecasts, business plans, strategies and tactics to achieve the Division’s objectives/goals within a specified period of time;
  • Participates in the Company’s planning activities; and,
  • Evaluates risks and prepares remedial plans of action to mitigate the effects of risks.

2. Organizing

  • Develops and recommends the department’s organization structure by identifying and grouping the work to be done per person per region so that work is accomplished effectively;
  • Determines and recommends the manning plan of the Division; and,
  • Establishes work relationships and delegates authority to ensure cooperative efforts of subordinates.

3. Leading

  • Comes up with the decisions for the Division based on conclusions and judgments necessary for the Division to act within the limits set by the SVP/COO;
  • Selects staff for the Division following the recruitment and selection policies of the Company;
  • Evaluates and coaches staff to help them improve their competencies and comes up with developmental action plans, in coordination with the Human Resources & Administration Division, to improve their performance and for their continued career growth;
  • Spearheads or leads specific committees, conferences, and meetings with stakeholders as mandated by the SVP/COO; and,
  • Ensures smooth relationships with the clients and partners at all times through regular communication and timely action on their concerns.

4. Controlling

  • Assesses work progress and actual performance of staff based on established performance standards and indicators;
  • Ensures timely development of the system/product within the approved budget;
  • Co-leads with Auxiliary Operations during testing of Auxiliary systems in the site and ensures acceptance by clients;
  • Keep confidential all sensitive information that may compromise the interests of the Company;
  • Controls the expenditure of the Division in accordance with the approved budget;
  • Oversees the day-to-day activities of the Division and its compliance to Company policies, guidelines and procedures; and,
  • Provides reports, presents, and submits the Division’s accomplishments and performance on set deadlines.

Qualifications:

  • College graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or Marketing-related course
  • Work experience in IT industry is an advantage
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) is an advantage
  • Must have at least 15 years of relevant work experience in project development, research and development, and project management
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a must
  • Can work in Quezon City
