Accounting Manager (US Accounting)

ROLE SUMMARY

The Accounting Manager reports to the CFO and works cross functionally within the Philippine geography. They will provide the financial clarity needed to deliver on key business priorities and outcomes. The Accounting Manager is responsible for the full accounting cycle and internal financial controls for both the PH and US books. The Accounting Manager is responsible for developing and leading the Philippine Accounting Team members and ensuring that monthly/quarterly/annual close processes and financial reports are completed accurately and in a timely manner.

WORK SCHEDULE: 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM Pacific Daylight Time (5:00 AM – 2:00 PM Philippine Standard Time) follows Philippine holidays

POSITION TYPE: Full Time

WORK ARRANGEMENT: Remote

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Coordinate financial activities (i.e., consolidations, intercompany transactions, banking, etc.) with parent company and sister company
• Oversee and drive rigor in all accounting areas including the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking, payroll, and preparation of financial statements
• Develop and maintain appropriate reconciliations and documentation to support all activity in prior point.
• Develop and continually improve our internal control structure with an emphasis on system understanding and procedural documentation and standardization
• Assist in maintaining vendor relationships with banks, credit card agencies, insurance agencies, accounting firms, tax firms, and finance/HR systems
• Oversee the payroll process, and ensure its accuracy and timeliness
• Perform other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) strongly preferred
• Degree holder of Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience
• Multi entity accounting/consolidation experience very valuable
• 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, preferably in a private, growing organization
• Comprehensive understanding and application of ERP Systems
• Strong communication skills with the ability to deal with highly sensitive matters
• Additional focus on US Accounting, and finance team management skills
• Ability to work in an autonomous environment and be a self-directed, independent worker

• Experience in a multi-client environment
• Analytical skills with particular attention to detail
