General Accountant

JOB BRIEF

Work closely and collaboratively with the Finance Director in developing and maintenance of accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely record financial statements. The person in charge shall deliver on tight deadlines and multiple accounting activities including inter-company accounting and settlements, government contributions, tax compliance and accounting reports.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in management of multiple banking requirements
• Manage financial status by monitoring revenue and expenses; coordinating the collection, consolidation, and evaluation of financial data
• Prepare and submit reports to government agencies such as BIR, SSS, PHIC and HDMF.
• Ensure that the organization is compliant with law, tax regulations and policies
• Administer payroll preparation and salary disbursement
• Report to Finance Director on finance disbursement, payable and the like
• Support the management with special projects and work flow process improvements

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

• BA/BS degree with solid Accounting background, CPA is a plus but not required
• At least 3 years related experience
• Experience working in a BPO start-up is preferred
• Must be highly proficient in MS Office operations and able to thrive in a fast-pace setting
• Knowledge of Quickbooks or other various accounting systems for mid-sized companies is an advantage
• Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet required deadlines
• Strong interpersonal, people management and customer service skills required
