JOB PURPOSE

The HR Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources practices and processes. This role involves managing the recruitment and selection process, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, and compliance with employment laws. The HR Manager will work closely with senior management to align HR strategies with the organization's goals and foster a positive workplace culture.

Responsibilities

1. Recruitment and Staffing:

  • Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
  • Oversee job postings, screen resumes, conduct interviews, and manage the hiring process.
  • Coordinate with department heads to understand staffing needs and create job descriptions.

2. Employee Relations:

  • Act as a point of contact for employee concerns and grievances.
  • Mediate conflicts and provide resolutions in a fair and timely manner.
  • Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives to improve morale and productivity.

3. Performance Management:

  • Implement performance appraisal systems and provide support for managers in conducting reviews.
  • Develop training programs and career development opportunities for employees.
  • Monitor and address performance issues, providing guidance and support as needed.

4. Compensation and Benefits:

  • Oversee compensation strategies and ensure alignment with industry standards.
  • Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
  • Conduct salary reviews and recommend adjustments based on market trends and performance.

5. Compliance and Administration:

  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and manage HR documentation.
  • Implement and enforce company policies and procedures related to HR functions.

6. Training and Development:

  • Identify training needs and coordinate with external providers or develop internal training programs.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the organization.
  • Track and report on training effectiveness and employee progress.

7. Strategic Planning:

  • Collaborate with senior management to align HR strategies with organizational goals.
  • Analyze HR metrics and trends to inform decision-making and drive improvements.
  • Support organizational change initiatives and assist in managing transitions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP) is a plus.
  • Proven experience as an HR Manager or similar HR role.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, and regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
