Position Overview:
The Operations Manager will oversee the daily operations of our retail business. This role involves managing inventory, ensuring exceptional customer service, supervising staff, and maintaining store efficiency and profitability. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in enhancing our customers' shopping experience and ensuring smooth store operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures.
- Manage and optimize inventory levels to ensure product availability while minimizing waste.
- Supervise and train store staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to achieve sales targets.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback promptly and professionally.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of products.
- Implement and maintain merchandising standards to enhance the store's visual appeal.
- Analyze financial reports and make recommendations for improving profitability.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure operational excellence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Operations Manager or similar role in the retail industry, preferably in a specialty store environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in MS Office and retail management software.
- Knowledge of wines, beers, premium spirits, and imported products is a plus.
