Responsibilities:
- Prepare interim and end of year financial statements for review
- Prepare tax and other compliance returns
- Monitor tax payments
- Prepare payroll and payroll tax returns for clients
- Prepare Company and Trust statutory compliance documents as required
- Code and monitor Xero/cashbooks for clients
- Provide support for management accounting
- Assist with the preparation of cashflows forecasts, letters and Business Plans
- Prepare letter, correspondence, reports and other documents as required
- Tertiary qualification in accounting essential
- At least 3 or more years of similar experience
- Knowledge and understanding of accounting and taxation concepts essential
- Experience with Xero is helpful but not essential
- Proficient in Excel
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
- Communication: the ability to communicate clearly and concisely, varying communication style depending upon the audience
- Attention to detail: excellent attention to detail and written skills when communicating with others, both internally and externally
- Teamwork: willingness to assist and support others as required and get on with team members
- Time management/organization: accomplish objectives effectively within time frame given and carry out administrative duties within portfolio in an efficient and timely manner
