Position Overview: The General Manager (GM) is responsible for leading and overseeing all operational aspects of the company, ensuring that business goals are met through effective management of Sales and Marketing, Engineering and Customer Support, Product Development, Wholesale and Distributor Functions, Customer Relationships, and Employee and Talent Development. The GM will drive the strategic direction of the company, fostering innovation, optimizing operations, and building strong customer and employee relationships.

Responsibilities

1. Sales and Marketing Operations:

  • Develop and implement strategic sales and marketing plans to achieve company revenue and growth targets.
  • Oversee the sales team to ensure the execution of sales strategies that align with market trends and customer needs.
  • Monitor market conditions, competitor activities, and industry trends to adjust marketing strategies accordingly.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.

2. Engineering and Customer Support Operations:

  • Lead the engineering team in the development of innovative products and solutions that meet customer demands and drive business growth.
  • Oversee customer support operations to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, quick resolution of issues, and continuous improvement of support processes.
  • Ensure that engineering and support teams collaborate effectively to deliver high-quality products and services.

3. Product Development, Customer Solutions, and Innovation Solutions:

  • Guide the product development team in creating products that align with market needs and company objectives.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, encouraging teams to develop new solutions that enhance the customer experience and drive business success.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that customer solutions are scalable, cost-effective, and aligned with overall business goals.

4. Wholesale and Distributor Functions:

  • Manage relationships with wholesale and distribution partners, ensuring that products reach the market efficiently and effectively.
  • Develop and implement distribution strategies that maximize market penetration and drive revenue growth.
  • Monitor distributor performance and work with partners to optimize supply chain operations and product availability.

5. Customer Relationships:

  • Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with key customers, understanding their needs and ensuring the company delivers exceptional value.
  • Implement customer feedback mechanisms to continuously improve products, services, and customer satisfaction.
  • Serve as the company's representative in high-level customer interactions and negotiations.

6. Employee and Talent Development:

  • Lead efforts in recruiting, developing, and retaining top talent across all departments.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and innovative work environment that encourages employee engagement and productivity.
  • Implement training and development programs to ensure employees have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
  • Work closely with HR to align talent development strategies with business objectives and to create a pipeline of future leaders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. MBA preferred.
  • Proven experience in a senior management role with a strong track record of leading diverse teams and driving business growth.
  • Experience in any IT-related industry, selling high-volume, transactional products such as desktops, laptops, phones, etc is highly preferred.
  • Extensive experience in sales, marketing, engineering, and/or product development, with a deep understanding of customer needs and market dynamics.
  • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with a focus on building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, partners, and employees.
