Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
Equipment Maintenance And Repair
Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on facility equipment, including HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and other building infrastructure.
Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and address issues to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
Coordinate with external service providers for specialized equipment repairs and maintenance as needed.
Facility Safety And Compliance
Conduct regular safety inspections and assessments to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
Address safety concerns, implement corrective actions, and maintain records of safety inspections and maintenance activities.
Support emergency response procedures and participate in safety drills and exercises.
Environmental Systems Management
Monitor and maintain environmental systems, such as air quality control, waste management, and hazardous materials handling, to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
Assist in the implementation of energy conservation measures and sustainability initiatives within the facilities.
Facility Upkeep And Improvement
Perform general maintenance tasks, including painting, carpentry, and minor repairs, to maintain the overall appearance and functionality of the facilities.
Identify opportunities for facility improvement and efficiency enhancement, and make recommendations for upgrades or modifications.
Equipment Calibration And Documentation
Calibrate and maintain equipment according to established schedules and procedures to ensure accuracy and reliability.
Document maintenance activities, equipment performance, and inventory of spare parts and supplies.
Collaboration And Communication
Collaborate with other departments to address facility-related needs and support special projects or events.
Communicate effectively with facility management, supervisors, and external vendors to coordinate maintenance activities and address facility issues.
Qualifications
Technical diploma or certification in facilities maintenance, HVAC, electrical systems, or a related field.
Proven experience in facilities maintenance, equipment repair, or related technical roles.
Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and maintenance best practices.
Familiarity with facility management software, maintenance tracking systems, and basic computer skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities and mechanical aptitude.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with good communication and interpersonal skills.
