Accountant
In this role, you will play a crucial part in controlling and managing accounting, reporting, tax, and treasury-related tasks, while also acting as a key partner to our Finance Manager in ensuring regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Reporting, Tax, and Costing:
• Oversee day-to-day finance activities, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory management, and more.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly and annual reporting packs, adhering to group reporting standards and IFRS.
• Provide insightful analysis through management reporting to enhance financial decision-making.
• Prepare statutory financial reports and support tax preparations and submissions.
• Manage tax reporting requirements and coordinate local transfer pricing obligations.
• Support both internal and external audit processes.
2. Working Capital:
• Serve as the primary point of contact for daily banking transactions.
• Manage foreign currency dealings, including inward and outward remittances.
• Arrange bank facilities such as collection facility, local and foreign supplier payments, tax/duties payment facilities, and bank guarantee arrangements.
• Manage any system integration requirement between bank and ERP system.
• Ensure timely collection of receivables and manage customer disputes.
• Maintain accuracy and integrity of inventory valuation.
• Prepare cash flow forecasts and facilitate actions to maintain appropriate cash conditions.
3. Compliance:
• Ensure adequate internal controls are in place and properly documented with appropriate approvals.
• Support regional and global compliance teams in monitoring adherence to Draeger's Compliance Management System.
• Coordinate, promote, implement, and provide guidance on local compliance requirements such as due diligence processes of partners and contract requirements.
• Participate in regular policy reviews by regional and global teams and communicate for local alignment.
• Liaise with local corporate secretary on statutory compliance requirements including setting up board meetings and amendments of Articles of Incorporation/Bylaws.
• Support the organization in other regulatory requirements.
4. Continuous Improvement:
• Identify opportunities to maximize capacity and efficiency.
• Ensure finance policies and procedures remain relevant and up to date.
• Identify, develop, and implement system and process improvements to enhance financial outcomes.
Qualifications:
• Degree in Accounting and preferably a Certified Public Accountant
• Five years of experience in an accounting environment and some years in a related position.
• Experience working in a global & complex environment
• Strong communication skill to enable effective communication with stakeholders at all levels.
• Able to display quality in critical thinking to investigate complex issues, make decisions and develop solutions
• A proficient skill level in the use of MS Excel and SAP is preferred
