Job Overview:

The Senior IT Manager will lead the IT Operations department, focusing on the management, implementation, and optimization of information and computer technologies. This role involves enhancing business processes through technology, integrating systems, and ensuring IT services meet high standards. You will report directly to the Director.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

• Develop and implement IT department objectives and strategies.
• Evaluate and deploy technology solutions to enhance operational efficiency and align with business goals.
• Oversee the design, customization, and deployment of technological systems to improve performance.
• Approve technology acquisitions and manage relationships with IT vendors.
• Ensure the organization’s technological infrastructure operates at peak performance.
• Lead IT projects and stay abreast of technological advancements to maintain a competitive edge.
• Analyze IT costs, value, and risks, providing strategic advice to management.

Budget and Financial Management:

• Prepare and manage annual and long-term IT budgets.
• Oversee operating and capital expenditure, ensuring financial processes are followed.
• Monitor financial performance and adjust strategies to meet budget and project goals.

Continuous Improvement:

• Develop and propose new procedures to enhance IT department efficiency.
• Utilize technology to track progress and identify areas for operational improvements.
• Implement processes that communicate productivity improvements to the team.
• Recommend new technologies to support evolving business needs.

People Management and Development:

• Manage and mentor IT staff, setting performance objectives and facilitating professional growth.
• Provide on-the-job support and training to team members.
• Stay informed about advancements in communication technology and improve learning arrangements based on feedback.

Communication:

• Communicate complex issues clearly and respectfully, both verbally and in writing.

Required Skills, Training, and Experience:

Experience:

• At least 10 years in a senior IT management role, preferably within the IT sector.

Knowledge:

• Expertise in IT architecture, governance, security, virtualization, data center operations, cloud and network architecture, SLAs, and ERP systems. Experience with Microsoft environments is preferred.

Skills:

• Strong leadership, communication, and team management abilities.
• Technical proficiency in systems and network security with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 10 years of IT management experience.
• Certification in operational inspection (POM) or other qualifications recognized by KaIT.
