JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Summary: The Senior Accounting Manager will be the leader responsible for the overall management of the accounting department and team. This includes overseeing preparation and consolidation of financial statements, managing the accounting team, ensuring that the financial records and filings are accurate and compliant with applicable laws and regulations in the Philippines and Singapore.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the overall accounting function across countries, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, consolidation, tax filings, and financial reporting.
  2. Oversee the preparation and review of monthly / quarterly / yearly financial statements, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting principles and standards.
  3. Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, including the preparation and analysis of financial and audit reports, reconciliations, and journal entries.
  4. Ensure compliance with tax regulations in the Philippines and Singapore, including the preparation and filing of tax returns, and oversee tax audits (particularly with BIR).
  5. Collaborate with external auditors (Big 4) during annual financial local entities’ statutory and consolidated group audits in the Philippines and in Singapore (HQ).
  6. Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
  7. Lead and supervise the accounting team, including performance management, training, and professional development.
  8. Stay updated on accounting standards, regulations, and industry best practices, and implement changes as necessary to ensure compliance.
  9. Performs other tasks that may be assigned by the VP for Finance or by the CFO.

Qualifications:

Bachelor degree Accounting, Finance, or related. Professional certification (CPA/CMA) required.

At least 8+ years of experience as a (Senior) Accounting Manager or similar in a multi-entities

(ideally multi-national) company with consolidation experience, and supporting audit processes.

Proficient in PFRS and accounting standards, ideally some knowledge / experience with SFRS too.

Prior experience in a Big 4 audit function is highly desirable.

Experience of filing tax returns and supporting tax audits (particularly with BIR) is desirable.

Knowledge in accounting software (Quickbooks for now, bonus if experience with

implementation of new ERP software) with proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Sheets, etc.
