We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accountant to join our team. If you are fluent in QuickBooks Online (QBO) and Xero and have a knack for organizing debits and credits efficiently, we want to hear from you!
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department.
- Maintain and update accounting records and files, including debits and credits, in a timely and accurate manner.
- Reconcile accounts, manage general ledger entries, and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
- Prepare and book journal entries for various financial transactions.
- Generate and analyze financial statements and reports.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and relevant regulations.
- Provide support during audits and liaise with auditors as necessary.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Develop and implement accounting processes and procedures to improve operational efficiency.
- Work with sophisticated accounting systems, inventory management, and building procedures to optimize financial operations.
- Manage relationships with large clients, ensuring that their financial needs are met accurately and promptly.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO) and Xero.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Experience with sophisticated accounting systems and inventory management.
- Ability to organize and manage debits and credits efficiently.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Experience working with large clients and managing their financial operations.
