Role description:

Role accountabilities:

  • Work within established standard operating procedure and systems with clear project objectives to produce and manage delivery output, paperwork associated with contracts (JCT, NEC, bespoke contracts), programs and projects, and responding to any concerns or queries, ensuring all terms are met by all stakeholders.
  • Deliver/assist to manage small to medium scale projects or programs ensuring all work variations to work orders are being accounted.
  • Present any project risks or issues involved with specific contract terms to senior managers to ensure the project is not adversely impacted, and ensure that the delivery of projects is compliant to standards and assist the Project Manager in mitigating these risks through proper contract administration
  • Analyse and review a range of data to identify key themes and trends and use the outputs to produce recommendations that support project decision-making.
  • Coordinate for managing any claims, variations, and contractual disputes, ensuring timely resolution in line with project timelines and objectives
  • Handle contract amendments and variations in a structured manner, ensuring proper documentation and approvals are obtained.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline
  • Relevant business experience as a Contract Administrator, Contract Manager or similar
  • Good communication skills, including the ability to liaise with peers and senior colleagues and build and maintain relationships
  • Building the ability to negotiate and manage relationships with external stakeholders
  • Commercial acumen and organisational understanding
  • A logical approach and ability to think through complex issues to co-ordinate multi-faceted aspects of projects
  • Preferrably has experience in NEC Contracts
