Job Summary:

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is responsible for overseeing the company’s day-to-day operational functions, ensuring that all business operations align with the strategic goals set by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The COO will be instrumental in driving operational excellence, optimizing resources, and ensuring that the company delivers high-quality products/services in a cost-effective and timely manner. The COO collaborates with other executives to align operations with business objectives, implementing systems that promote efficiency, quality, and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership:

  • Develop and execute operational strategies that ensure the company meets its financial and operational goals.
  • Oversee the performance of all departments, including HR, Finance, IT, Sales, and Operations, ensuring cross-departmental efficiency and collaboration.
  • Lead the implementation of innovative and streamlined processes to improve productivity and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure operational objectives and performance metrics are met while mitigating risks and resolving operational challenges.

Strategic Planning & Execution:

  • Collaborate with the CEO and senior management to develop short-term and long-term strategies for business growth.
  • Translate the company’s strategic plans into operational plans and actionable tasks, ensuring alignment with the company’s mission and values.
  • Monitor the competitive landscape and industry trends, adapting strategies to ensure the company remains competitive and innovative.

Financial & Budgetary Management:

  • Manage the company’s financial health by developing operational budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness, and driving revenue growth.
  • Analyze and review financial data to make informed decisions that contribute to the overall profitability of the company.
  • Oversee vendor relationships and contract negotiations to optimize service agreements and cost management.

Talent Management & Development:

  • Collaborate with HR in attracting, developing, and retaining top talent to support business operations and growth.
  • Foster a culture of high performance and continuous improvement within all teams.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to middle management, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and encouraging professional development.

Risk Management & Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with local and international laws and regulations, including labor, safety, and operational standards.
  • Manage and mitigate business risks, implementing policies and procedures that safeguard the company's reputation and assets.
  • Oversee workplace safety and operational compliance, working with the HR team on health and safety protocols.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Serve as a key liaison between the CEO, Board of Directors, and management teams.
  • Maintain strong relationships with external partners, clients, and suppliers to ensure smooth operations and service delivery.
  • Represent the company in important meetings, industry events, and negotiations with key stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field. MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred.
  • Experience: At least 10 years of senior leadership experience in operations, with a proven track record of driving organizational success in a fast-paced industry.
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the outsourcing services, including regulatory requirements, market dynamics, and customer expectations.
