The Franchise Operations Manager (Metro Manila) is responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating area-wide plans for sales and profit, and achieving quality and people targets in line with district strategies. This role shall oversee implementation of applicable programs from PSU and Corporate support units. The Area Manager is expected to conduct regular coaching sessions to the Restaurant Managers (RMs) to ensure proper execution of plans. The role is also tasked with providing solutions for area-wide issues. He/she also serves as a consultant to GMs in support of franchise stores in the area.

STRATEGY DEPLOYMENT & MONITORING

  1. Deploys operational tactics based on district strategies and discusses these plans and strategies with the Restaurant Managers (RM).
  2. Coaches RMs in operations execution and other relevant matters.
  3. Requests support from PSU functions for area and restaurant’s operational requirements.
  4. Monitors area performance across all KRAs.
  5. Follows up on all action plans put in place for the area and stores.
  6. Serves as a consultant to Group Managers (GM) of franchise stores in the area.
  7. Reviews and approves stores’ evolving business action plans as prepared by the management teams.

SALES

  1. Designs sales-building initiatives for the retail trade area (RTA) or community covering all channels and products.
  2. Oversees implementation of NBC and Marketing initiatives across the area.
  3. Monitors sales achievement of stores for both new and existing products, and provides support to stores in achieving sales targets.
  4. Consolidates and analyzes area sales data, and coaches RMs on achievement of sales targets.
  5. Keeps abreast of competitors in the area, and makes recommendations to support sales growth and market share of existing stores.

PROFIT

  1. Audits stores to check compliance to cost management standards and achievement of FCPC targets.
  2. Assists and provides recommendations to RMs in formulating action plans for identified deviations in cost management.
  3. Looks for best practices in profit achievement and cost management across stores and determines the possibility of area-wide implementation of these practices.

PEOPLE

  1. Creates the area’s succession plan for the restaurant management team to ensures business continuity.
  2. Conducts performance appraisal of direct reports (RMs) every semester
  3. Creates, implements and monitors development plans for direct reports based on competency assessment and individual performance.
  4. Identifies key talents among direct reports and develops a career plan for them.
  5. Creates and implements employee engagement programs at the area level.
  6. Develops action plans and solutions to address area engagement issues.
  7. Facilitates and implements employee disciplinary processes and resolution at the area level.

FSC

  1. Audits stores on FSC and GSC compliance.
  2. Develops action plans with RMs to address deviations and problems spotted during audits.
  3. Gives recommendations regarding process improvements to RMs in order to enhance customer experience.
  4. Approves requests for replacement of store equipment upon endorsement of the RM.
  5. Looks for best practices in FSC and GSC across stores and determines the possibility of area-wide implementation of these practices.
  6. Leads NPS target achievement of the area.
  7. Supports RMs in resolving customer complaints (when needed), and elevates critical cases to the OD.
  8. Compiles and analyzes customer feedback at an area-wide level and develops action plans to address issues.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduate of Hotel and Restaurant Management or any Business-related course.
  • At least 6 years experience in store operations management in the fast food or quick service restaurant (QSR) industry.
  • Has good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Has advanced knowledge in store operations management and business development.
  • Willing to do field work activities in Metro Manila.
