Job Title: Operations Manager – Food Manufacturing

Location: Cagayan de Oro, Philippines

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Operations Manager to oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of our food manufacturing facility in Cagayan de Oro. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining high-quality standards, optimizing resource use, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of food manufacturing processes, and the ability to manage a large team in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily manufacturing operations to ensure production targets are met, while maintaining high levels of efficiency and product quality.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor operational policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards, including food safety and health regulations.
  • Collaborate with various departments (e.g., production, quality control, procurement, logistics) to streamline operations and maximize productivity.
  • Lead and manage the production team, including training, performance evaluation, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational efficiency and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure optimal utilization of resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to control costs and minimize waste.
  • Develop and manage budgets, ensuring that operational costs are in line with financial goals.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives, including process optimization, automation, and lean manufacturing practices, to enhance operational performance.
  • Oversee inventory management and supply chain operations to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and finished products.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including those related to food safety, health, and environmental standards.
  • Maintain strong relationships with external vendors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Management, Food Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in operations management, preferably within the food manufacturing industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, GMP, ISO), production processes, and regulatory compliance in the food industry.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience in leading and developing large teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on driving operational efficiency.
  • Proficiency in operational management software and tools (e.g., ERP systems).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
