We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Virtual Accounting Manager to oversee the work of a growing bookkeeping team and manage the financial operations for 7-10 clients. The ideal candidate will excel in client communication, project management, and team leadership. You will be the primary point of contact for clients and responsible for ensuring deadlines are met while maintaining the highest level of accuracy and compliance. Though you won’t be expected to complete client bookkeeping, you may need to step in and assist your team to ensure tasks are completed to a high standard and on time.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage a team of 1 current bookkeeper, eventually expanding to 3.
Oversee the day-to-day operations for 7-10 clients, ensuring quality, accuracy, and compliance.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing any concerns or needs related to bookkeeping and financial reporting.
Create, assign, and manage tasks/projects to ensure all client deadlines are met.
Provide support and guidance to the bookkeeping team, stepping in to assist with client work as necessary.
Monitor and evaluate the performance of the bookkeeping team, providing constructive feedback and ensuring continuous improvement.
Prepare and review client reports, ensuring consistency and clarity in all financial communication.
Work with other stakeholders in the company to ensure smooth integration of services.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
Proven experience in team management and project management.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships.
Ability to lead meetings with internal team and external clients
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks Online) and Excel/Google Sheets.
Problem-solving attitude and willingness to step in and support the team as needed.

Compensation/Schedule:
$7-15/hour, 20 hours/week part-time at the current level of clients. This role is expected to grow to full-time in the future.
