Purpose of the Role

To develop business solutions and commercial modeling to support growth and profits with existing and new clients and to provide data analytics for customer KPIs and Business reviews.

Reporting Relationships

The position reports directly to the Sales Director and is an integral member of the Business Development Team

Authority

This position is authorized to operate by policy and procedure and contribute to process improvements.

Key Accountabilities

1. Report Writer

  • Mine data and create standard reports to help analyze business-critical activities using their advanced Power BI skills
  • Creation of Operational Dashboards to showcase Operational KPIs

2. Assist in the pursuit of new business opportunities or continual of current contracts:

  • Cost modelling
  • Commercial arrangements
  • Pricing options
  • Business Case Studies
  • Tender response preparation

3. Actively work to ensure all pricing and cost aspects of any new and existing contracts are administered in a timely and accurate manner including but not limited to:

  • Determining Equipment and labor resourcing levels
  • KPI reporting
  • Existing Customer Business Review reporting requirements – data gathering and presentation
  • Co-ordinate Rise & fall mechanisms
  • Volume Adjustments
  • Diesel fuel surcharge reviews
  • Cost – Price Model Updates
  • Customer Rebates
  • Continuous Improvements

4. Review of financial and commercial analysis, outcomes, and decisions for existing contracts and new business opportunities to ensure strict compliance with the contract obligations and Alvaro policies and procedures with no degradation of the contracted position;

5. Analysis and report support to operations and;

6 Adhering to the requirements of the quality system including supporting preventative actions to eliminate any recurrence of incidence, non-conformances, or customer complaints

7. Strictly complying with all WH&S and induction requirements to ensure a safe working environment for all staff and visitors

8. Making certain that all legal and compliance obligations are met at all times and that company policies and procedures are adhered to

9. Being accountable in your area of responsibility by effective planning and participation in the Alvaro Performance Development System

Key Outcomes

  • Review and absorb RFP Documentation and prepare Executive Overview summaries for Senior Management to consider opportunities
  • Conduct detailed analysis of customer data to create comprehensive, sustainable, and sound logistical solutions.
  • Assist in the creation of major tender responses providing both qualitative and quantitative content
  • Construct detailed costing models of resource requirements ensuring profitability
  • Prepare detailed analysis of outcomes produced from modeling for Senior Management review and sign off
  • Engagement with various business departments (Finance, HR, Asset Management, IT, Operations) to gather associated costings and information to be used in the production of major tenders
  • Create strategic cost-saving solutions to provide the business with an edge over the opposition
  • Basic Service Level Agreement review as required
  • KPI Template Production for New Contracts
  • Research tasks to fully understand the costs and challenges associated
  • Provide various business units with analytical support as and when required. Review of existing contract commercials to determine profitability and identify unforeseen cost increases
  • Ensure contract governance and controls are always maintained to the highest standards across all support functions
  • Take part in major project work (both internally and externally) as directed.
  • Produce correct and timely reports to management as required.
  • Maintain data files as necessary for the efficient reporting of the business.
  • Any other duties that may be reasonably requested from time to time.
