Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Adobe Illustrator Expert to assist with a variety of design projects. This position will start as freelance work but could grow into steady part-time and eventually full-time work based on performance and company needs. As the role becomes more full-time, the candidate will also be expected to work directly with customers to customize designs and fulfill their specific needs. Customer service skills will be critical for ensuring satisfaction and building strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Create high-quality vector designs using Adobe Illustrator for use in laser engraving projects.
Follow design briefs and directions meticulously while contributing creative input when necessary.
Adapt designs to ensure compatibility with laser engraving processes.
Work independently, managing time efficiently and delivering projects on deadline.
Communicate effectively with the team to clarify the scope of work and ask the right questions.
Continuously learn and adapt to new techniques and technologies related to laser engraving.
Work with customers to understand their design preferences, provide suggestions, and ensure that the final product meets their expectations.
Provide excellent customer service, addressing customer needs and questions with professionalism and care.
Qualifications:
Expert proficiency in Adobe Illustrator is required.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow precise directions.
Creativity and the ability to turn general ideas into impressive designs.
Ability to learn quickly and adapt designs for laser engraving technology.
Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to ask the right questions to clarify project requirements.
Customer service experience with the ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with clients.
Preferred (but not required) Skills:
Logo design and artwork display layouts.
Experience in web design, branding, marketing, and sales.
Knowledge of customer acquisition, SEO, and product fulfillment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for tracking project details and fulfillment.
