BASIC FUNCTION

Primarily responsible for interacting with customers to understand requirements, provide solutions, conduct day-to-day support. The administrator is responsible for key projects, monitoring of the servers and providing user support. The software that he/she will support is deployed in multiple business units globally with that, he/she will interact with global users daily. Will support Hyperion, GetPaid, Fast Path, Prisma and other applications.

Principal Functional Responsibilities

  • Administration of servers, databases & applications including, upgrades, backup and recovery.
  • Daily monitoring of the application for performance and integrity.
  • Monitors issue management system for incoming requests and issues; adheres to SLAs.
  • Work with Oracle support team or software vendor as needed to resolve application issues.
  • Supports application/users by gaining an understanding of data, business processes and workflow.
  • Effectively resolve questions and issues for end-users.
  • Proactively researches technology tends of the product.
  • Develops PowerShell scripts to automate redundant manual processes for efficiency and consistency, reviews current processes for optimization.
  • Provide a broad technical knowledge that will help the team handle different technologies.
  • Communicates with end users on issues, scheduled maintenance, etc.
  • Documents processes and stores them in the team’s SharePoint site.
  • Proactively researches technology trends of the product; identifies and markets applicable uses of the product and its components.
  • Works with the IT Enterprise Architecture group to define and manage the infrastructure for the enterprise applications and identifies major areas of development.
  • Participates in various IT projects intended to continually improve and upgrade the infrastructure, such as evaluation of new software and hardware required to meet a business need or to make a process more cost effective.
  • Knowledgeable in understanding vulnerabilities and applying recommending remediations including patches upgrades.

Expience/Skills

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering or a related field.

Job Related Experience

  • At least 3 years of experience in IT industry.
  • At least 3 years of experience administering and supporting web-based applications in a multi-tier environment (preferably Hyperion)
  • At least 2 years of experience in Windows Server.
  • At least 1 year of experience in using SQL Server.
  • Must have trouble shooting and support background.
  • Must have an experience in working with a team.
