Reporting to the Group Brand Manager for Farms/Meats, the Brand Portfolio Manager for VAM is responsible for the holistic category and brand marketing management of the Food Group’s Prepared Meats, also known as Value-Added Meats (VAM) products. This involves the creation and launch of new brands, products, and the support of existing ones in the category portfolio. This is an integrated brand and product management role, and the candidate will have an opportunity to drive business growth while continuing to hone their marketing and brand management skills.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
The role is responsible to fulfill the brand management role for Pilmico Farms and The Good Meat’s Prepared Meats and VAM products, including but not limited to the following functional responsibilities :
- Market and Consumer Understanding (Market Sizing, Brand and Segment Shares, Competitor Analysis, Channel Analysis, Consumer Insight)
- Brand Strategic Planning including Range Extensions (Brand Identity, Brand Vision, Brand Architecture, Portfolio Management, Product Portfolio Strategy)
- Innovation and New Product Development (Idea Generation to Commercialization and post-launch evaluation)
- Brand Profitability (P&L Planning and Management, Revenue Achievement, Pricing and COGS Management, A&P Control) and market share delivery
- Brand Marketing Activity and Support Planning, Execution, and Evaluation (Communication and Media, POS and Merchandising, Trade and Consumer Promotions, Digital Marketing and Commerce)
- Product Delivery and Quality (Formulation and Packaging quality and market delivery)
- Product Availability (sales channel strategy and monitoring, availability, visibility)- Product Supply Management (forecasting, Materials supply management)
- Brand Social Impact (brand and product sustainability and social dimensions)
- Cross-functional team collaboration and assistance to team outside of directly managed brands, support on developmental and ad-hoc corporate, marketing, and other projects
Qualifications:
- College graduate from any degree
- 10-15 years experience in marketing/brand/product management, in either FMCG, food, beverage, packaged goods, or related
- Experience in new product development and project management, working cross-functionally to develop unique propositions, product formulations, pricing and commercial analysis, channel distribution plans
- Experience in brand marketing operations, in activation and brand building of existing products using advertising and communications, merchandising, and promotions
- Experience in sales forecasting, sales and offtake analysis, and product P&L management, including marketing budget management
