He/She/They support in-business risk and control to manage high risk/critical Business-As-Usual (BAU) activities under the BDO Securities Group.
Additionally, he/she/they work closely with the Business to conduct quality assurance and risk assessments on identified BAU activities such as identifying current and emerging risks and control breakdown, incident investigation, proactive controls management and process deep dives to facilitate a stronger operational risk culture.
The responsibilities we will trust you with:
- Responsible for the completion of Quality Assurance/Controls Testing and Risk Assessment of high risk BAU activiites
- Work with the BU towards developing risk mitigation action plans
- Carry out detailed walkthroughs and process mapping to identify significant risks and controls
- Report exceptions/incidents to management
- Oversee the operational risk incident management process to guarantee that timeliness, integrity, and quality control are maintained
- Ensure appropriate review of operational incidents and root cause and business impact analysis
- Work together with other organizational line of defense (i.e. Compliance, Internal Audit, etc.).
Your skills and experiences should be:
- Bachelor's degree-holder (preferably a degree in Economics, Marketing, or Finance)
- At least 3-5-years experience in operational risk/compliance function
- Personal background in investments and financial markets (Preferred: Professional background in investments and stock trading/brokerage an advantage)
You should be willing to work onsite in Ortigas.
