The Audit Specialist is responsible for evaluating customer interactions and transactions, and identifying, monitoring, and reporting on key compliance and risk areas across Customer Operations.
The purpose of role is to assist the organisation to assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, policies and procedures. This includes supporting initiatives to improve compliance and minimise the risks of privacy and fraud breaches, and ongoing education and awareness within the business relating to the importance and impacts of compliance/non-Compliance.
Audit Specialists have a natural risk aversion with a strong compliance and continuous improvement mindset, and acts as an ambassador TPG Telecom compliance frameworks and best practices within the business.
Responsibilities
- Perform regular and scheduled policy and process compliance audits and evaluations on Customer Operations
- Audit and evaluate customer voice, chat, email transactions and related agent systems activity against defined processes and compliance framework(s)
- Monitor, assess and report on key compliance and risk-related metrics across Customer Operations (such as complaints, sales practices, policy adherence, privacy, incidents and breaches)
- Provide insights and reporting to identify improvement opportunities
- Conduct feedback and calibration sessions with Customers Operations stakeholders across different departments including but not limited to Billing Support, Tech Support, Sales, Upgrades and Retention
- Identify process issues and recommend changes to address non-compliance or risk drivers
- Ensure any business or customer impacting non-compliance, or systemic risk/performance issues are raised to the relevant stakeholders and the Compliance Assurance Manager in a timely manner
- Assist with periodic or ad hoc compliance or risk review and analysis activities, such as fraud or privacy investigations or regulatory compliance reviews, and any other related task that may be required from time to time
- Ensure the quality and timeliness for assigned tasks
- Ensure error rate for all audit reports generated or created is zero
- Adhere to Company policies and procedures as introduced and varied from time to time.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience Requirements:
- Should have minimum 2 years relevant experience in an Internal Audit or Risk and Compliance role
- Should have the ability to assess and evaluate interactions, transactions and processes against set policies, frameworks and standards. Any previous audits experience is preferable
- Demonstrates a strong commitment to attendance and punctuality, aiming for perfect attendance and willingness to work onsite
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and actionable feedback
- Strong analytic skills with the ability to assess, understand and draw correlations and conclusions from data sources
- Collaborative and consultative work style, with the ability to develop solid working relationships with the business whilst maintaining independence
- Self-motivated with excellent time management and the ability to prioritise workload and work with limited supervision
- Proficient in the use of Excel, PowerPoint and other Microsoft products
