We are seeking a Junior Quality Assurance (QA) Tester with experience in WordPress to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our digital products and websites, primarily built on WordPress. You will work closely with developers, designers, and project managers to identify and resolve issues, ensuring the highest standards of performance, usability, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform manual testing of WordPress-based websites, themes, and plugins to identify bugs, usability issues, and performance bottlenecks.
- Create, document, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on functional specifications.
- Collaborate with development teams to understand project requirements and contribute to the development of test strategies.
- Report and track defects, issues, and improvements using bug-tracking tools like Jira or Trello.
- Conduct regression testing to ensure new code does not negatively impact existing features.
- Test compatibility across different browsers, devices, and operating systems.
- Assist in creating and maintaining QA documentation, including test plans and procedures.
- Provide feedback to improve development processes and ensure best practices are followed.
- Maintain awareness of emerging trends and technologies in QA and WordPress.

Requirements:

- At least 1 year of experience working in a Quality Assurance (QA) role.
- Hands-on experience testing websites built on WordPress.
- Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to identify front-end issues.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

- Familiarity with QA tools such as Jira, Trello, or similar bug-tracking systems.
- Experience with cross-browser and cross-device testing.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):

- Experience with WordPress plugins, themes, and customization.
- Familiarity with automation testing tools like Selenium or Cypress.
- Basic understanding of performance testing tools like Google Lighthouse or GTMetrix.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scru m me thodologies.
- Familiarity with WCAG compliance or web accessibility standards.

Education:

- A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.

- Reports to the QA Lead or Project Manager.
