Description

Role Description:

The Regional Sales Manager is tasked with managing distributor accounts (Out To Distributor - OTD) and retailer sales (Out To Retailer - OTR), with a primary focus on driving revenue growth, increasing sales volume, and managing receivables within the assigned region for both CP (Crop Protection) and Seeds platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Revenue Growth and Sales Volume:
    • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and increase market share.
    • Monitor sales performance and adjust strategies as necessary to ensure continuous growth.
  • Account Management:
    • Maintain and strengthen relationships with distributors and retailers to ensure effective sales channels.
    • Negotiate contracts and agreements to maximize profitability and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Receivables Management:
    • Oversee the collection of receivables to maintain healthy cash flow.
    • Implement credit control measures to minimize risk and ensure timely payments.
  • Demand Generation:
    • Collaborate with the Demand Generation Manager to design and execute campaigns that drive product demand.
    • Ensure that demand generation activities are effectively implemented to stimulate sales.
  • Cross-functional Coordination:
    • Work closely with the Category Manager, Sales team, and Field Science teams to align on strategies and objectives.
    • Ensure the CP/Seed portfolio's value proposition is clearly communicated and demonstrated to customers.
  • Market Analysis and Reporting:
    • Conduct market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats.
    • Prepare and present regular reports on sales performance, market conditions, and strategic initiatives.
  • Customer Engagement:
    • Engage with key customers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
    • Organize and participate in customer events, field days, and product demonstrations to enhance customer relationships.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualification:

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree preferably in Agriculture, business or related major.
  • Minimum 6-8 years' Sales/Marketing experience in Ag Industry preferably in Crop Protection business or even outside Ag Industry
  • Hands-on experience in directly managing Channel partners/Distributors/Retailers with necessary proof points.
  • Hands-on Experience in launching & growing shares of Seed &/or Crop Protection products with necessary proof points.
  • Hands-on experience in leading execution of product field demonstration and demand generation plans
