THE ROLE – SOLUTIONS OWNER – MARKETPLACE SOLUTIONS

=================

We're seeking a Solutions Owner with at least 5 years experience in this role.

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and delivery of solutions that address key customer needs and business challenges. The ideal candidate will have a working understanding of the marine procurement industry or deep understanding of B2B Marketplaces, a proven track record in project management, and the ability to collaborate effectively across various functions, ensuring successful project execution.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

Understanding Customer Needs:

Actively engage with clients to grasp their specific requirements, feedback, pain points, and desired outcomes. This involves in-depth discussions, analyzing data, and identifying areas for improvement.

Solution Development & Recommendation:

Based on the gathered information, the Solutions Manager collaborates with internal teams (Data Team, Operations, development, etc.) to design and propose solutions that effectively address the identified needs. This may involve tailoring existing solutions, developing new ones, or integrating various products and services.

Project Management:

They oversee the entire project lifecycle, ensuring tasks are delegated effectively, resources are allocated efficiently, and timelines are met. This involves close collaboration with various departments and monitoring progress towards established goals.

Communication & Negotiation:

Solutions Owners act as a bridge between clients and internal teams, clearly communicating project requirements, proposals, and updates. They also possess strong negotiation skills to establish mutually beneficial agreements with clients.

Team Management

Manage a team of Solutions Specialists to achieve all strategic goals set by the company as well as the Marketplace Solutions Team.

ABOUT YOU

MUST HAVE:

  • Bachelor’s graduate in Business, Engineering, or any related field
  • Minimum 5 years experience as a Solution Owner or similar role in a B2B Marketplace or Marine Procurement industry.
  • Excellent project management skills with a track record of consistently delivering projects on time, on budget, and to high quality.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across various functions.
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
