About the role

At Mövenpick Resort and Spa Boracay, we are seeking a talented Commi III (Baker) to join our team in Malay, Aklan. As a full-time member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting with the preparation and production of a variety of baked goods and pastries to delight our hotel guests.

What you'll be doing

  • Assist with the preparation and production of a wide range of baked goods, including breads, cakes, pastries, and other confections
  • Ensure all baked items meet quality and presentation standards
  • Maintain a clean and organised work station throughout your shift
  • Collaborate with the head baker and pastry chef to develop new recipes and menu items
  • Adhere to all food safety and sanitation protocols
  • Provide excellent customer service to hotel guests

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a baker or pastry chef, preferably in a hotel or resort setting
  • Proficiency in preparing a variety of baked goods, including breads, cakes, pastries, and other confections
  • Knowledge of baking techniques, food safety, and sanitation best practices
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Passion for the culinary arts and a commitment to delivering exceptional baked goods
