The client is seeking a highly organized and proactive Supply Chain Manager to oversee and streamline their inventory management, shipment planning and warehouse coordination. The ideal candidate will have experience managing large volumes of POs with varying payment terms, working with international suppliers (primarily in China and US), and handling the complexities of freight scheduling and warehouse logistics. This is a fast-paced role that requires attention to detail and the ability to bring the entire supply chain together to ensure seamless operations.
Key Responsibilities:
The client is seeking a highly organized and proactive Supply Chain Manager to oversee and streamline their inventory management, shipment planning and warehouse coordination. The ideal candidate will have experience managing large volumes of POs with varying payment terms, working with international suppliers (primarily in China and US), and handling the complexities of freight scheduling and warehouse logistics. This is a fast-paced role that requires attention to detail and the ability to bring the entire supply chain together to ensure seamless operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management: Use SoStocked or a similar tool to manage high volumes of Purchase Orders (POs), ensure accurate inventory levels, and handle multiple payment terms
- Shipment Planning: Schedule and plan shipments, including coordinating with suppliers and freight carriers to ensure timely deliveries. Notify the warehouse of incoming shipments
- Warehouse Management: Oversee warehouse operations, manage stock levels, and ensure efficient handling of goods, including tracking pallets and managing space limitations
- Order and Freight Management: Create and follow up on POs, schedule freight shipments, and ensure efficient and cost effective logistics (e.g., ordering 26 pallets to fill up the whole truck capacity)
- Cross-team Collaboration: Act as a key point of contact for different departments to ensure all supply chain activities are aligned with business goals. Keep things moving forward and resolve any operational bottlenecks
- Proactive Problem-Solving: Identify and address issues before they impact the business,
- Proven experience in Supply Chain Management within an E-Commerce or Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) environment
- Expertise with inventory management tools like SoStocked (or similar)
- Strong negotiation skills and experience dealing with international suppliers, particularly in China
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a detail-oriented mindset
- Ability to handle complex logistics challenges and provide efficient solutions
- Strong communication skills and the ability to follow up effectively with team members and suppliers
- High level of proactivity—this is not a role for someone passive. You must be able to drive operations forward
- Experience managing finished goods inventory and coordinating shipments from international suppliers
- Previous experience in managing warehousing logistics
- Familiarity with managing complex POs with different payment terms and freight schedules
