We are seeking a proactive Local SEO Project Manager to lead our local search engine optimization initiatives. This role focuses on driving local visibility and enhancing our clients' presence in targeted geographic areas. Working closely with our On-Page/Technical SEO Specialist and Link Building Specialist, you will oversee SEO projects with an emphasis on local strategies, ensuring seamless coordination and optimal outcomes across teams.
Responsibilities:
Local SEO Strategy Development
Develop and execute comprehensive local SEO strategies aimed at improving visibility in Google's local pack and organic results.
Conduct in-depth keyword research with a focus on geo-targeted terms and local intent, guiding content creation to meet local search objectives??.
Optimize Google Business Profile listings, ensuring accurate NAP (Name, Address, Phone Number) information and managing reviews to increase credibility and prominence?.
Collaborative Management with Specialists
Coordinate with the On-Page/Technical SEO Specialist to optimize page URLs, metadata, and local landing pages for improved relevance and site performance?.
Partner with the Link Building Specialist to drive off-site SEO through methods including link insertions, guest posts, and structured and unstructured citation building. Ensure these link-building tactics are both geographically and niche-relevant, enhancing domain authority and driving targeted traffic?.
Technical SEO for Local Optimization
Manage site audits focused on local SEO, addressing technical issues such as page speed, mobile optimization, and structured data to improve crawlability and local ranking signals??.
Ensure accurate implementation of structured data to enable rich snippets and other local SERP features.
Performance Tracking and Reporting
Set KPIs tailored to local SEO efforts, monitor results via tools like Google Analytics and Google Search Console, and provide actionable insights to guide ongoing optimization?.
Regularly report on local SEO performance, interpreting data to make informed recommendations and adjustments to strategy.
Project and Stakeholder Management
Manage project timelines, set milestones, and ensure cross-functional coordination with the On-Page/Technical and Link Building teams.
Communicate progress, challenges, and results to stakeholders, fostering collaboration and accountability across all SEO initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in Local SEO, with demonstrated success in managing local campaigns.
Proficiency with SEO tools, including Google Business Profile, Ahrefs, SEMrush, and Screaming Frog.
Strong understanding of Local SEO principles, including citation management, local keyword research, review optimization, and off-site link-building strategies (e.g., link insertions, guest posts, structured and unstructured citations).
Excellent project management skills, with experience in tools like Teamwork or Asana.
Ability to analyze and report on data, making strategic recommendations based on insights.
