JOB OVERVIEW:
The Compensation Analyst will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting human resource data, metrics, and statistics to support decision-making, improve HR processes, and enhance overall HR performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of HR functions and best practices.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collection and Analysis: Collect and compile HR data from various sources including HRIS, SumTotal, Phoenix Payroll, Surveys, other systems including Mancom reports on a monthly basis; HR metrics and trends such as but not limited to Headcount, Attrition, People costs, payroll, salary and benefits competitiveness versus market and identify areas for improvement and strategic opportunities.
- Reporting: Prepare regular and ad-hoc HR reports and dashboards on a regular basis that will be used for Mancom reports, OD Meetings, Salary reviews, and other reports as needed by the head of Corporate Services head; Prepare findings and recommendations to the Head of Corporate Services.
- Review and Planning: Provide support to the Head of HR in the salary review planning process.
- Benchmarking and Market Analysis: In coordination with the Total Rewards team, participate in the salary surveys and benchmarking studies to ensure competitive compensation and benefits; Analyze market trends to support competitive HR practices and policies.
- Forecasting and Planning: Assist the HR Manager in the annual HR Budget planning for the headcount forecasting, salary analysis and other relevant metrics needed in the budget process; Provide insights and recommendations to support strategic workforce planning initiatives.
- Compliance and Audit: Ensure HR data and practices comply with legal requirements and industry regulations; Assist in internal and external HR audits as needed.
- Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in HR processes and recommend improvements; Collaborate with HR team members to implement process enhancements.
- Project Support: Support HR projects and initiatives such as talent management, employee engagement, and organizational development by providing relevant employee data and analysis; Collaborate with cross-functional teams on HR-related projects as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Statistics, or a related field; Master’s degree or HR certification is a plus.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR analytics, data analysis, or a similar role within the energy industry or related sector.
SKILLS:
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and data visualization tools (e.g., SumTotal, Phoenix, etc).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of HR functions, policies, and best practices.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
