Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Business Unit Manager position at Manulife Philippines located in Makati, with flexibility for remote work. The Business Unit Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the unit's operations, setting strategic goals, driving performance, and leading cross-functional teams. The role involves developing and implementing strategies to achieve business objectives, monitoring key performance indicators, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or a related field
  • Professional certifications (e.g., Insurance Commission, IIAP, SEC, or similar) are a plus but not required

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of Sales, Marketing, or any related roles with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role
  • Proven track record in business development and driving sales in the insurance or any related field
  • Preferred industry: Insurance, Financial Services, FMCG, Pharmaceutical, Banking, BPO, or Real Estate
  • Experience in recruiting, training, and managing a team is a plus

Leadership and Management

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve sales and business targets
  • Experience in setting performance goals and monitoring team KPIs

Sales Acumen

  • Ability to create and implement sales strategies the align with market trends and business goals
  • Strong relationship management skills with the ability to build and maintain a client base
  • Sales recognitions for exceeding targets are a plus

Communication and Interpersonal Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients, stakeholders, and team members
  • Has an understanding of the unwritten and written rules when utilizing social media
