Position Description
- Creates and initiates transparent, value-adding and meaningful reporting that enables the business unit to address, improve and maintain best practices in supply operations.
- Influences business decisions and drives financial performance.
- Drives structured performance meetings with key stakeholders to ensure constant alignment with current performance vs targets, forecasts being carried out balancing risks and opportunities as well as timely escalation of issues/ risks for proper mitigation
Key Results Areas
Business Partnering:
- Drives structured performance meetings with key stakeholders to ensure constant alignment with current performance vs targets, forecasts being carried out balancing risks and opportunities as well as timely escalation of issues/ risks for proper mitigation
- Prepares the operating business plans together with the Business Unit Heads and lead work efforts related to the financial forecasts and overall budget to ensure profitability standards are met and internal financial controls are in place
- Partner with Procurement, Commercial and Supply Chain Operations teams in developing the overall strategy for the function driving value creation/.
- Acts as Bids and Awards Committee Chairman for major procurement items within the business unit
Reporting and Driving Performance:
- Monitors the business unit’s performance against the operating business plans
- Oversees the financial reporting function, including the review of reports generated for internal and external stakeholders
- Analyzes and reports the financial statements to management and identifies supplementary financial or operational reports, as needed
- Enforces proper financial controls in place and make necessary changes, if any
- Reviews and approves reports generated by team members intended to provide financial oversight, review business opportunities and initiative.
- Stays abreast with current business performance to drive focus on the right areas for improvement and maintain/drive competitive advantage.
Driving Compliance:
- Reviews and signs tax returns and other compliance requirements
- Signs off on external audit requirements
- Analyzes business unit requirements related to finance
Qualifications
- Accounting or finance graduate or any related business course
- At least 5 years experience as Supply Chain Finance specifically from organizations within the food industry
- Has experience using an ERP for Supply Chain/Manufacturing set up and Microsoft Office
- Knowledge in finance, accounting processes & control principle in a manufacturing / supply chain set-up; ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports.
- Well-versed in Philippine Financial Reporting Standard (PFRS) and statutory reporting
