This role focuses on amplifying our brand presence, securing press coverage, and building strong relationships with local media outlets. Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a local media strategy to increase brand visibility for Unicorn Hunters in the Philippines
- Identify and cultivate relationships with key media outlets, journalists, and influencers in finance, entertainment, and technology sectors
- Craft and pitch unique story angles that align with Unicorn Hunters’ brand goals and the interests of the media
- Organize press events, interviews, and media appearances, including virtual and in-person formats
- Track media coverage, analyze results, and prepare regular reports on the effectiveness of PR campaigns
- Collaborate with the global Unicorn Hunters marketing team to ensure message consistency and alignment with global campaigns
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in public relations, media pitching, or communications within the Philippines
- Strong understanding of the Philippine media landscape and established relationships with relevant media contacts
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in local languages is a plus
- Proven ability to pitch stories and secure media placements in top-tier outlets
- Background in fintech, startups, or entertainment PR. is a plus
- Experience with crisis management and media training
- Skilled at using media monitoring tools and tracking analytics
- Flexible and adaptable – can manage change and work comfortably with ambiguity
- Team player – works well in a collaborative environment
