Summary:

  • The UX/UI Designer is responsible for conceptualizing and creating best-in-class design solutions to optimize existing user journeys and launch new product or services while maintaining the brand’s identity on all digital touchpoints of Sunnies Studios — including its e-commerce site, booking platforms, and digital touchpoints in retail stores. He/She works with the Online Marketing team, Creative leads and web development partners to continually elevate the digital experiences of the brand while dreaming up future innovations.

Job Description:

Strategic Planning and Execution

  • Collaborate with the UI/UX Designer and Marketing Team to translate strategic objectives into actionable on-brand design solutions to improve existing user journeys and interface.
  • Support the UI/UX Designer and Marketing Team in reviewing, testing and assuring quality of designs implemented by the web developers.

Site Architecture, User Experience and User Interface

  • Create site architectures, user journeys, wireframes, and prototypes in Figma or similar tools to address customer journey gaps and opportunities and optimize user flow and interaction.
  • Translate user feedback and insights into design solutions — including user flows, wireframes, and prototypes, that will improve usability, accessibility, and visual appeal while maintaining the brand identity seamlessly throughout the brand’s digital touchpoints.
  • Ensure consistency and coherence across all digital platforms through adherence to established design guidelines and best practices.

User Research and Site Analytics

  • Conduct user research, including surveys, interviews, and usability testing, to gather insights and inform design decisions on customer preferences, needs and pain points in collaboration with the UI/UX Designer and Marketing team.
  • Create reports to summarize insights gathered from user testing and inform the UI/UX Designer and Marketing Team about user preferences and needs.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to refine user experiences and enhance overall site performance.
  • Conduct periodic audits and quality checks on the brand’s websites in collaboration with and raise bugs to the UI/UX Designer and Marketing Team.

People and Project Management

  • Manage time and prioritize tasks effectively to meet project deadlines and deliverables.
  • Work collaboratively within a fast-paced, agile environment, adapting to shifting priorities and requirements as needed.
  • Demonstrate a proactive and self-motivated approach to learning and professional development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in management information systems or information technology, or Bachelor of Art in information design, fine arts, multimedia arts or any related field
  • 2-3 years of work experience in website, graphic or product design. Experience in e-commerce website design and/or development is a plus
  • Working knowledge of Figma, HTML, CSS (SCSS), Adobe Creative Suite and other similar technologies and software is required; experience in user research is preferred
  • Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and goal-oriented
  • Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office and similar tools required
