Wellbeing Disclaimer

We recognize that while Trust & Safety work can be extremely rewarding, it can also be emotionally draining and psychologically demanding. As part of our commitment to transparency, we’re sharing the potential risks and implications of exposure to this unique and extremely important line of work from the beginning so candidates can make informed decisions about their application.

This role involves monitoring and identifying exploitative content regarding minors including child sexual abuse and exploitation. This will consist of independently and manually reviewing disturbing content in the backend.

PartnerHero has a Wellness Program in place and wellness teams of specialists to support Trust & Safety and Content Moderation specialists with their individual wellness needs. Our leadership and management teams are trained to understand the wellness implications of Trust & Safety work and better support the physical and mental well-being of each employee throughout their journey with us.

The Role

We are seeking a dedicated Content Moderator II to join our team handling our new partner, a secure chat application that facilitates group communications. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure a safe and respectful environment for our users by monitoring chat content and addressing reports of inappropriate behavior.

What you’ll do:

  • Review and moderate group chats based on reported issues, including chat names and content.
  • Investigate reports related to Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM), focusing primarily on group chat names for blocking, rather than in-depth media analysis.
  • Assess and address other serious reports, such as those involving terrorism, though these cases are infrequent.
  • Collaborate with the other teams for any necessary escalations or investigations beyond standard moderation.
  • Ensure adherence to UK-specific CSAM laws and regulations, understanding the differences from US laws and the implications for reporting procedures.
  • Provide feedback on trends and recurring issues to help improve user experience and community standards.
  • Document and escalate serious incidents, such as reports related to terrorism, in accordance with safety protocols.

What We Expect From You:

  • Previous experience in content moderation, online safety, or a related field – experience moderating CSAM is a plus
  • Strong understanding of community standards and legal frameworks, particularly UK and European regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and investigative skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle sensitive topics with confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Resilience and passion for Content Moderation work related to child safety – even if you know it’s difficult
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Motivated and proactive, demonstrating a strong work ethic
  • Familiarity with the TechCoalition’s Industry Classification System is a plus.

What You’ll Get In Return:

  • Full-time employment
  • Competitive compensation based on experience
  • Attractive benefits package based on location
  • Access to free posture-based fitness workouts from home
  • Paid Sabbatical Leave
  • Training opportunities provided by PartnerHero and outside entities
  • 1-on-1 coaching with feedback sessions, mentorship, and opportunities for cross-functional development
  • Regular check-ins with our wellness coordinator to discuss mental and emotional well-being
