Job Summary
- Implements and monitors strategies as mandated / initiated by the Group Head and Division Head. Directly manages activities of a team of Relationship Managers (RMs) / Relationship Associates (RAs). Responsible for the marketing and delivery of bank products and services to commercial and SME customers with the objective of deriving profits for the Bank. Thoroughly/extensively reviews, assesses and endorses credit proposals to the proper endorsing / approving body.
- Implements marketing plans, strategies, action plans and objectives in line with the annual budget. Executes effective plans in achieving the center's profit objectives and other goals which contribute to overall group and Bank targets.
- Oversees and applies the marketing and account management activities of Relationship Managers through monitoring cross-selling efforts, coordination of daily transactions, solicitation and completion of deals.
- Directly manages key accounts and solicits new businesses for the Center. Joins client calls/ocular inspections.
- Supervises and monitors Relationship Managers' performance to ensure compliance with targets set. Reviews actual monthly performance vis-a-vis targets. Determines whether performance is below or above the target for respective RMs to be able to identify specific areas for improvement and come up with specific plans for each RM.
- Ensures all credit proposals are accurate by thoroughly reviewing credit applications prepared by Relationship Managers. Ensure adherence to established credit policies / regulatory requirements and maintains high credit quality of loan portfolios. Reviews customers' requirements, organization's capabilities, industry competition, and the general business environment. Approves / recommends credit proposals to higher credit authorities. Attends/presents to Crecolcom / Excom / Board.
- Ten (10) years industry experience in the areas of credit analysis and account management.
- Working knowledge of credit analysis, common bank products / services, banking regulations and respective legal documentation, marketing of corporate banking products / services.
