The Role:
We are looking for an energetic problem solver that thrives in high-pressure situations. This role will support business analytics projects and processes that provide data-driven insights related to business performance used to advise and develop strategies for operational improvements and future business initiatives. This analyst is expected to lend subject-matter expertise to enhance projects with insightful takeaways and perspective.
Essential Duties:
Operations Research and Analysis
- Partners with the Business Intelligence Manager and uses statistical methods, modeling, analytical methodologies, and data analysis to develop and deploy tools including dashboards, infographics, reports, and models to inform and support decision-making.
- Mines, processes, and analyzes internal and external data using KPIs, business results, industry sources, competitor intelligence, and customer information.
- Develops a good understanding of the business's model, objectives, issues, and challenges by interacting and collaborating with users and stakeholders.
- Performs ad-hoc operational analysis in partnership with commercial and financial analysts to help frame critical business decisions
- Coordinates with the US Supply Chain Manager and local logistics teams within the company to update and build the freight cost model with options from available networks, which include Ocean Shipping, Inland Trucking, and Warehousing.
- Conducts research and analysis for maintaining inventory targets per SKU and analyzes optimal order quantities.
Minimum Qualifications:
- BS in Business Administration, Management Engineering, or other Management-related courses from a top-ranked university
- Fresh Graduates or professionals with less than 2 years of experience are welcome
- Strong understanding of operations and business statistics
- Excellent story-telling ability and is able to communicate complex ideas into clear and understandable points of discussion
- High degree of ownership - Demonstrated ability to take initiative and to be proactive in identifying issues and recommending solutions
