What you'll do
Primarily, this role will be in charge of improving Automation Script Development. Tasks under this include:
- Develop and Maintain Automation Scripts: Create and refine automation scripts that enhance testing efficiency and coverage across our applications.
- Ensure Cross-Environment Compatibility: Verify that scripts function seamlessly across various environments, including QA, Staging, UAT, and Production.
- Implement Parameterized Testing: Utilize parameterization techniques to run test scripts with different input values, leveraging data-driven approaches such as JSON files, fixtures, and environment variables.
- Design Modular Test Frameworks: Craft modular and reusable test scripts by breaking down tests into manageable functions or modules. Experience with the Page Object Model (POM) or similar frameworks is highly beneficial.
- Create Reusable Code Components: Develop helper functions, utilities, and custom commands to enhance code maintainability and minimize redundancy.
- Support Product and QA Demos: Participate in and conduct demonstrations of the automation scripts to stakeholders, showcasing progress and gathering feedback.
- Solid experience in Cypress and JavaScript-based automation.
- Expertise in creating parameterized and modular scripts for scalable testing.
- Familiarity with POM or similar design patterns for clean, maintainable code.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for collaboration and clear documentation.
