PROJECT MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for representing the company at site, executing all scope of works and managing a team of five in an on-going Construction as a Project Manager.

Pre-Construction

  • Review and provide comments on contractor’s technical documents for completeness and conformance to contractual and regulatory stipulations
  • Provide technical/engineering support as required
  • Review of technical drawings, engineering and performance tests, including preparation, and participation in design review meetings with contractors
  • Review, comment, update and support the client in the development and management of integrated project schedules through coordination with contractors
  • Support review of design change submittals
  • Preparation and management of conceptual design studies, feasibility studies, energy yield assessment, lenders engineer and independent engineer projects, and technical due diligence assessments for onshore wind power projects
  • Review of EPC tendering, negotiations of EPC commercial and technical proposals
  • Preparation of reports for the clients as required and coordinating the internal report preparation process Recommend potential hire 2.2 Construction Phase
  • Develop and manage comprehensive project plan for Wind Farm Project, from development to execution.
  • Lead the development of a detailed project schedule, integrating civil works, wind turbine installation, electrical infrastructure, and balance-of-plant components.
  • Oversee all project contracts, including those with engineering firms, construction contractors, equipment suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, developing and implementing effective risk management strategies.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all environmental regulations and safety protocols throughout the construction phase.
  • Manage and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including detailed reports, meeting minutes, progress updates, and risk registers.
  • Oversee the commissioning and testing of all project components, verifying their performance meets established criteria.
  • Manage the project handover process, ensuring successful operational startup and knowledge transfer to the operations team.
  • Taking on challenges and dealing with changes in client requirements

Accountability

  • Provide timely reports on reviews, assessment and audits conducted
  • Attend to site works, as necessary, to represent the client and Companies business interests throughout the project
  • Submit timely comments on technical document and drawing reviews
  • Verify and sign off on test and inspection certificates, as offered by the contractors

Qualifications

  • Higher professional degree in engineering field relevant for the job (B.Sc. or higher)
  • Industry background and more than 15 years’ work experience from power utilities, engineering companies, or power sector consulting companies preferably in Wind Project related roles
  • Good experience with wind power project development phase
  • Fluency in English.
  • Excellent report writing, presentation and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in client interaction and capability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work well with people from a range of culture
