About the Role:
We’re seeking an experienced and data-driven SEO Strategist to join our digital marketing team for a maternity contract . In this role, you’ll develop and implement SEO strategies to increase organic search visibility and drive relevant traffic to our website. You’ll be responsible for analysing data, identifying optimisation opportunities, and collaborating with content and technical teams to improve search performance. KEY ROLES:
Develop and execute SEO strategies to improve organic search rankings and drive targeted traffic.
Conduct comprehensive keyword research to guide content strategy, identifying trends and high-impact opportunities.
Perform website audits to identify technical SEO issues and provide actionable recommendations.
Collaborate with the internal team to ensure SEO best practices are implemented in on-page content.
Develop link-building strategies, including outreach to reputable sites and building partnerships.
Monitor and analyse SEO performance metrics using tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and Ahrefs.
Stay updated on industry trends, Google algorithm updates, and best practices, sharing insights with the broader marketing team.
Generate monthly reports on SEO performance, providing insights and suggesting strategies for continual improvement.
Work with developers and designers to implement SEO optimisations on the website, ensuring technical SEO standards are met.
REQUIREMENTS
3+ years of experience in SEO with a proven track record of driving organic growth.
Strong understanding of SEO best practices, algorithms, and ranking factors.
Proficiency with SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, and Screaming Frog.
Experience with content management systems (e.g., WordPress) and HTML basics.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical SEO concepts to non-technical team members.
Ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage multiple projects with deadlines.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with local SEO, mobile SEO, and technical SEO.
Familiarity with paid search campaigns and how they intersect with organic strategies.
Basic knowledge of JavaScript and CSS is needed to understand technical constraints.
