Lightning Bult Electrical and Plumbing is seeking a highly qualified accountant to take on significant financial responsibilities and contribute to the growth of our business.
Position Overview
Role: Senior Accountant/CFO
Location: Northern Beaches, Sydney, Australia
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Receivable:
Prepare and send client invoices promptly.
Assist field staff in processing payments accurately and encourage on-site payments.
Manage customer payment agreements and ensure timely payments.
Maintain commercial accounts within 30 days.
Accounts Payable:
Ensure accounts remain within credit limits.
Process weekly payments for subcontractors.
Execute batch payments via Xero and bank accounts.
Payroll Processing:
Manage wages for current staff, with growth in the future.
Handle superannuation and implement staff bonuses based on performance.
Financial Management:
Develop and monitor budgets.
Analyze financial data to identify inefficiencies.
Set gross and net profit targets, adjusting pricing and break-even analysis.
Track and report on employee performance metrics.
Required Qualifications
Experience: Significant experience in accounting, ideally as a CFO in a similar environment.
Technical Knowledge: Proficiency with Xero and understanding of Australian tax laws, BAS procedures, payroll, and superannuation.
Skills: Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills; must be able to learn new software quickly.
Work Ethic: Ability to work autonomously, prioritize tasks effectively, and maintain high accountability.
